The Mazda3 is offered in three trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. The two powertrain choices are a 2.0-liter 155-hp, direct injection, SKYACTIV four-cylinder engine, or a 2.5-liter 184-hp, direct injection, SKYACTIV four-cylinder engine. Both are offered with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Available features, depending on trim level, include 18-inch wheels, HD radio, a nine-speaker Bose audio system, blind spot monitoring system, an intelligent key system, a power moonroof, bi-LED adaptive headlights, LED taillights, power heated leather seats, automatic climate control, and the convenience of Bluetooth. Standard safety features include active front head restraints, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with brake assist, electronic stability and traction control, and tire pressure monitoring.
For 2017, the Mazda3 has been refreshed inside and out, and new safety features have been introduced such as lane keep assist, radar cruise control, electronic parking brake and traffic sign recognition.
