Model Overview


The Mazda6 is a mid-sized sedan with a very striking appearance. It can be equipped with unexpected luxury and technology features not typically found in its class.

The Mazda6 is available in five trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. The Sport and Touring engine is a 2.5-liter 187-hp, direct injection, SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation. The Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature get a 2.5-liter 227-hp, direct injection SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder turbo engine. The standard transmission on the Sport is a six-speed SKYACTIV manual transmission. All other trims get a SKYACTIV automatic with manual-shift mode standard which is also available to order on the Sport. Standard features, depending on trim, include moonroof, dual zone auto climate control, 19-inch wheels, SiriusXM satellite radio, internet radio functionality, an 11-speaker Bose audio system, 8-inch color touchscreen display with Mazda Connect, head-up display, wood trim inserts, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, Nappa leather upholstery, 360-degree camera system, rear parking sensors, cruise control with stop-and-go function and adaptive front-lighting system with automatic headlight leveling. Standard safety features include Smart Brake Support System, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, rearview camera, Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control, Hill Launch Assist and whiplash reducing front seat headrests. Other safety features include, depending on trim, high beam control, Lane Keep Assist System and Traffic Sign Recognition.

The substantial changes for 2018 include a redesign to the front and rear bumper, grille, headlamps, tail lamps, trunk lid and tail pipes. The interior has been refreshed with an new dashboard design, instrument panel, door trim, seat and seating material and center console.
